Privacy
Launchpad is made for kids. Kids under 13 can't use it until a parent says yes and we check it's really them.
Who runs it

What we keep
- First name and last initial
- Username, password (locked), grade, birth year
- The projects your child makes
- Which help cards they tap, and the hints they get
- Goals their teacher checks off, and grades and feedback on work they turn in
- Messages with their teacher (you can read every one)
- Sign-in times, IP address, and browser, to keep accounts safe
What we never do
- Ask kids for email, photos, voice, or location
- Let kids under 13 type to the AI
- Show ads, or sell or rent anyone's information
Who sees it
Your child's teacher, program staff, and parents with a parent login. We use it only to run the coding program. Messages never go to the AI.
AI coach
Separate permission. You can say no.
If you say yes, we send Anthropic (the company that makes the Claude AI model) the project's code (names removed) and which help buttons your child pressed. Never their name, username, birth year, or anything they type.
If you say no, your child gets the same hints, written by people. Nothing goes to Anthropic.
Other companies
Our hosting and email companies store and send data for us. They can't use it for anything else.
How long
- No answer to our permission email in 14 days: account deleted
- No sign-ins for 365 days: account deleted
- AI coach history: deleted after 365 days
- You ask us to delete it: done right away

See it, download it, turn off the AI coach, or delete everything. Use the link in your permission email, or write to [Privacy contact email].
